NEW YORK, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted 56 km of Ndoi Island, Fiji at 19:56:42 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 579.11 km, was initially determined to be at 21.1404 degrees south latitude and 178.8621 degrees west longitude.
