ULAN BATOR, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- A total of 269 athletes from Mongolia will compete in 30 sports during the forthcoming 18th Asian Games in Indonesia, said the Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport on Monday.

In addition, 128 Mongolian coaches will feature at the Games, which take place from August 18 to September 2 in the capital Jakarta and the city of Palembang in South Sumatra province, the ministry said in a statement.

According to the Olympic Council of Asia, a total of 11,300 athletes from 45 countries and regions are set to compete in the Games.

They will take part in 465 events across 40 sports and 67 disciplines.
