Ukrainian vlogger Alex Tchaikovsky is one of the most active foreign volunteers in a community in China's Chengdu.

Once a newcomer struggling with language and cultural barriers, Tchaikovsky has gradually grown into an active participant in community affairs. 

Through his involvement, he has witnessed how China's grassroots work is evolving - from simply serving residents to encouraging broader participation and shared responsibility.
