NEW YORK, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese electronic rock band is to stage a concoction of music, visual arts and digital technology in downtown New York City on Sept. 1.
The experimental and experiential performance, scheduled for 8 p.m. at the 3LD Art & Technology Center, Lower Manhattan, is the first of its kind by the NYC-based indie band THE EITHER in cooperation with Chinese new media digital artist Yuxi Cao.
The event will immerse audiences in a multi-sensory experience through the convergence of visual effects, live music and digital technology involving electrified Chinese traditional instruments, rock electronic music and fashion elements.
THE EITHER was founded by vocal Li Zong, electric Pipaist (Chinese Lute) Jiaju Shen and Yang Wang on electric Erhu (Chinese Violin) in 2017. They are known for their unique futurism/minimalism composition style and the voices from traditional Asian instruments, which blends the likes of indie electronic, electronic rock, progressive metal and dream pop.
