YANGON, June 17 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude jolted Myanmar's Bago region late Sunday.
With an epicenter of 40 km southwest of Phyu city, the quake struck at 7:51 p.m. local time (1321 GMT), said the Meteorology and Hydrology Department.
The earthquake was felt at some townships in nearby Yangon region.
The earthquake could be aftershocks of a 6.0-magnitude one which hit the city in January this year, according to the department.
No damage has been reported so far.
